What footwear and clothing should I wear? How should I dress for Ice Castles?
Bundle up, because Ice Castles is best enjoyed when appropriately dressed for the winter cold. We recommend wearing insulated clothing like you would wear if going sledding, skiing, or doing any other outdoor winter activity. Warm clothes including coats, hats, and gloves are best. Snow pants are recommended for all guests, especially if you’re planning on riding the slides and crawling through tunnels.
In terms of footwear, winter boots are best. Shoes with high heels or flat soles (like dress shoes or cowboy boots) can be slippery and are not recommended. We do allow microspikes (ice cleats) but they will not be necessary for you to enjoy Ice Castles. Learn more about the walking surface within Ice Castles here.
