Here are a few suggestions to help your Ice Castles experience be as magical as possible:
1. Purchase tickets ahead of time at www.icecastles.com.
First click is to pick a location then select the date that you would like to attend and the number of tickets you want to buy. We tend to sell out of tickets very quickly, and purchasing your tickets ahead of time ensures that you will be able to attend the castle during your desired time slot. We do offer a limited number of standby tickets on site but we do not guarantee entrance with standby.
2. Dress for winter! Warm clothes and winter boots are best. Shoes and boots with flat soles (like dress shoes or cowboy boots) are not recommended. Everything inside the Ice Castles is made of ice and snow, including the walking paths.
3. Leave the stroller at home. The walking surface in Ice Castles is like a beach with deep sand. It is extremely difficult to push a stroller around. We recommend bringing a small sled, or wearing your a baby in a baby carrier.
4.Best time to come: if you have young children, you will want to bring them during the day when it is a bit warmer. You also have the best opportunity for photos if you come during the day! At night, the castle is lit up with LED lights which makes for an amazing experience as well.
